The library is open to all IHE Delft students and staff, and to visitors by appointment. The services provided by the library include lending out books, requesting articles and other materials through the inter-library loan system and providing assistance in searching the electronic catalogue.
WorldCat Local provides single-search access to all holdings from the IHE Delft library collection.

Wiley Online Library currently offers sample issues on the subjects of aquaculture, fisheries & fish science. These journals are normally not full-text available to non-subscribers but are now available for free.

Borrowing & renewing loans
A maximum of ten items may be borrowed from the library at any one time. The maximum loan period is 21 days, renewable up to a maximum of 42 days. Reference works, MSc theses, bound and non-bound periodicals and materials bearing a green sticker may not be borrowed. By using their library card to borrow items from the library, borrowers agree to be responsible for those items, including the cost of replacing lost or damaged items. Renewals can be made online by using the borrower information function within the catalogue or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The library collection is accessible through an electronic catalogue, which is searchable by author, title (word) and subject, as well as by boolean operators. Both IHE Delft students and alumni have access to the Library catalogue. Upon registration IHE Delft students receive a registration card which can also be used to borrow items from the library collection. IHE Delft Alumni can access the library catalogue through remote access. Through the portal, alumni can access the bibliographic data contained in the catalogue and full text of all within the catalogue as pdf available IHE Delft Master theses.
IHE Delft's library is open Monday-Friday, from 9.00 to 17.30 hours. Note that the library opening hours are subject to change, so visit this library webpage to remain updated.
