From 7 to 10 July 2020, the 10th International Conference on Fluvial Hydraulics "River Flow 2020," will take place in Delft. This conference series, the most influential river event in the world, has been organized under the auspices of The International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) since 2002.
IHE Delft's academic staff members Mario Franca, Professor of Hydraulic Engineering for River Basin Development, and Alessandra Crosato, Associate Professor of River Morphology and River Engineering, are members of the organizing committee of River Flow 2020.
The conference themes relate closely to the research undertaken in the River Basin Development chair group at IHE Delft, and more specifically in the research line of the natural environment. This research line includes related subjects such as 'sediment management at the basin scale', 'processes of sediment entrainment, transport and deposition' and 'river engineering and morphodynamics'.
