The course was organised by IHE Delft, together with the Research Centre for Water Resources at the Ministry of Public Works and Sriwijaya University, Indonesia as partner institutions and the financial support of the Dutch Government through EP-NUFFIC.
The classes were held at the Research Center for Water Resources at Ministry of Public Works in Bandung and 25 participants from Asia, 13 females, attended the course.
Next to the theoretical subjects related to spate irrigation, food crops security and climate changes, the program was completed with a fieldtrip to Ciheyah Irrigation Scheme in West Java and a visit to the Cultural Centre Saung pak Ujo in Bandung where attendees had the opportunity to get to know the culture of the host city. Participants received also information about IHE Delft and the Alumni Network. In the evaluation done the last day, participants express their high satisfaction with the course and new initiatives were proposed for the coming years.
