Biography

Dr. Giuliana Ferrero has over 15 years’ experience in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector and, specifically, in the fields of water quality, water safety, water reuse and (waste)water treatment. She has been leading and/or involved in education, research and capacity building projects in Mozambique, Uganda, Lebanon, Malawi, Suriname, Georgia, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Africa, India, The Netherlands and Spain. She recently transitioned into freelance consulting, while still holding the position of visiting associate professor at IHE Delft in The Netherlands. She holds a PhD and a MSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Girona, a Master degree in Experimental Geology from the University of Barcelona and a MSc in Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin.
