Giuliana Ferrero PhD, MSc

Senior Lecturer in Water Supply Engineering

Biography

Giuliana Ferrero holds the position of Senior Lecturer in Water Supply Engineering. At IHE Delft, she focuses on education, research, technical assistance and capacity building in the fields of drinking water disinfection, water quality, water safety plans and advanced oxidation processes. Since 2012, she has been leading and/or involved in projects in Mozambique, Uganda, Malawi, Suriname, Georgia, Rwanda, South Africa and Spain. 

Prior to joining IHE Delft she has worked in Spain for academia and private sector on wastewater treatment and reuse. In 2007 she worked as UN fellow at the Italian Development Cooperation Office of the Italian Embassy in New Delhi (India).

She holds a PhD (2011) and an MSc (2010) in Environmental Sciences from the University of Girona (Spain), a Master degree (2005) in Experimental Geology from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and an MSc (2004) in Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy).
