From 15 to 18 June, UNESCO-IHE in cooperation with Khon Kaen University (Thailand) and the Water Resources University Hanoi (Vietnam) organized the training course "Application of water resources models for climate change impact studies in the Mekong Basin", under the framework of the PRoACC2 project.
In the first three days, 30 mid-career professionals (from government, private sector, and university) were intensively trained in the use of water resources planning models for studying impacts of climatic change in the Mekong basin.
On the final day a workshop seminar was organized including presentations and discussion panels with high level representatives from Thailand (a.o. irrigation department, energy company, water resources department). The training workshop was highly valued by the participants and we are looking forward to hear how the participants have put their learning into practice.
