The Organization of American States (OAS) and UNESCO-IHE are jointly offering 40 tuition scholarships for an online GPDP (or PPDP as it is formerly known) in Sanitation and Sanitary Engineering. This offer is part of the OAS Partnerships Program for Education and Training (PAEC). Candidates can apply for admission to the GPDP at UNESCO-IHE until 28 July 2013 and the deadline to apply for the PAEC OAS/UNESCO-IHE scholarship is 31 July 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (official Washington, DC time).
The objective of the online GPDP is to disseminate sanitation and sanitary engineering knowledge and know-how to professionals who do not have the means or interest to pursue a graduate program degree in Sanitation and Sanitary Engineering, or who already have a graduate degree in a related field and wish to specialize professionally. To be eligible for a tuition scholarship, candidates should be a citizen and/or permanent legal resident of any OAS member state. Click here to see the list of member states.
After the deadline has passed, the 20 top ranked scholarship awardees shall each receive tuition scholarships that cover approximately 75% of tuition costs and will be responsible for payment of the remaining tuition cost to UNESCO-IHE. The following 20 awardees will receive approximately 50% tuition scholarships and will be responsible for payment of the remaining tuition cost to UNESCO-IHE. The official results of the scholarship will be announced by August 10th, 2013.
