IHE Delft Highlights 2020 has been published. It gives an overview of our work in educating water professionals, conducting high impact water research, and capacity development projects. In mid-2020 the United Nations released their accelerator framework to speed up the progress of ensuring availability and sustainable management of water for all by 2030. Capacity Development was identified as one of the five accelerators.
Building back better
After more than a year of COVID-19 taking its toll and significantly influencing our way of living and working, the challenge of how to build our society back better becomes crucial. Not only for health-related reasons, but also because of the other major challenges we are facing.
This latest edition of our Highlights shows that despite the difficulties we all experience during this pandemic, the work of the Institute continued. The lockdown helped to make online teaching and meeting much more acceptable for everyone. Interesting research projects were started and concluded, online events hosted and work was done on our new one- and two-year Master programmes: Water and Sustainable Development. Once accredited, these programmes will be launched in October 2022.
