A new open online course on freshwater health offered by IHE Delft and Conservation International (CI) will be launched during Open Education Week, 7 - 11 March 2022.
The free six-week course explores several aspects of freshwater health, including ecosystem vitality, ecosystem services and the role of governance. It emphasizes key concepts and practical methods for assessing freshwater health and aims to build participants’ knowledge and skills through interactive lectures, readings and hands-on exercises. It introduces the CI Freshwater Health Index as an open-source and freely available tool to examine water systems.
The course, available as of 15 March 2022, targets practitioners, policy makers and stakeholders but could suit anyone interested in protecting and restoring freshwater ecosystem health.
An expert team of freshwater specialists will deliver the course and interact with participants in online forums and live sessions.
