From 23 to 26 June 2013 the annual Rotary International Convention was held in Lisbon, Portugal. UNESCO-IHE representatives attended this event with a booth to give Rotarians more information about the strategic partnership between UNESCO-IHE and Rotary International and the role of local Rotarians within this partnership.
Rotary Grants Program
UNESCO-IHE is one of the partners within the Rotary Packaged Grants Program. Through this program sixteen water professionals are able to obtain a grant to follow an MSc programme at UNESCO-IHE. However, they are not able to apply directly for a grant. In order to receive a grant they should cooperate with a local Rotary club during their application procedure, but after their graduation as well. Moreover, after returning to their home country, these sixteen students will apply their gained knowledge when being involved in Rotary projects.
