Patricia Buffon received her Bachelor of Environmental Engineering degree from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre – Brazil, in 2015. Since 2013, she joined the Density Currents Research Group (NECoD) where she gained experience on sediment gravity flows. In 2018, she obtained a Master degree in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation from Hydraulic Research Institute (IPH) of the same university. From November 2018, Patricia started her Doctorate at IHE Delft where she joined the River Basin Development chair group. Her research is entitled “Contribution of turbidity currents triggered by bank erosion processes to reservoir sedimentation” and Patricia is sponsored by CAPES (Coordenacao de Aperfeicoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior, a foundation of the Ministry of Education of Brazil).
