Through case studies the project provides systematic knowledge on the extent and causes of conflicts in climate financed projects and the embedding of conflicts in the broader institutional and policy context. It assesses the sources of conflicts and analyze the workings of climate finance mechanisms that hamper collaborative outcomes with a twinned focus on local and national level perspectives. The project also aims at providing sound empirical evidence on the dynamics of cooperation and conflict in climate financed projects, analyzing possible causes and providing recommendations to avoid conflicts and enhance collaborative outcomes.
