The goal of the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities (CRC-WSC) is to deliver the socio-technical urban water management solutions, education and training programs, and industry engagement required to make Australian towns and cities water-sensitive. Participating industry and government partner organisations come from five states in Australia and include a number of international entities, including UNESCO-IHE. The Flood Resilience Group of UNESCO-IHE is leading project B4 "Socio-Technical Flood Resilience". This project aims to improve adaptation-related decision making to focus expenditure for greatest return on investment and at the same time deliver robust infrastructure and resilient communities to flooding. It will further develop and tailor existing Dutch and European approaches for resilient adaptation within an Australian and Vietnamese context.
