The overall aim of UNHIDE was to improve understandings of the dynamics of water service provision in cities in the global South. Through this project we will translate research findings of UNHIDE and INHAbIT into a short documentary (15-20 minutes) on practices to access and provide water in informal settlements to disseminate our research findings to larger audiences. In particular, we will focus our documentary on one African-based (Maputo, Mozambique) case study to highlight the reach of UNHIDE. The documentary will be launched in a policy workshop in Delft, and disseminated by IHE Delft, King’s College London and the University of Amsterdam, as well as partner organizations in Maputo and Jakarta (DVD, Flash drive and IHE Delft and KCL webpages). Further, the documentary will be disseminated through IHE Delft network of partners and alumni via internet and used as interactive education material in Modules at IHE Delft (water governance, urban water governance, institutional analysis). A more detailed plan to disseminate the documentary and design internet sources will be developed jointly with the Communications Office at IHE Delft and the Public Relations office at King’s Cultural Institute.
