What made you decide to study this particular programme?
Due to the current status of water resources (water scarcity and shortages) in Tanzania and the world in general, I found it necessary to be one of the experts in this field to add an 'effect' in the protection, preservation and sustainable utilization of water resources. Meanwhile I wanted (dreamt) to have an International Masters from the world's leading Institute for water education IHE Delft.
Can you say something about studying in Delft/the Netherlands?
Being a student in Delft I got a very important chance in my life to meet people of different nationalities who share one common goal, education. Not only is it just education but also the chance to meet new friends, experience a new culture and discover more about yourself. We are from different countries but live as children of the same family in one 'international house'
What kind of professional background do you need to succeed in this programme?
Applicants should at least have a Bachelor of Science degree related to water/environment.
Why should new students/water professional choose this programme?
This programme is important in our daily lives as it touches current issues such as climate change, water scarcity and shortages and water governance. At IHE Delft you get an opportunity to gain knowledge from experienced professors, lecturers and staff who are very supportive and ready to lend a hand whenever students ask.
What are you going to do once back home?
I will use the knowledge gained through my studies at IHE Delft to address the issues of IWRM for the betterment of my country and the world as a whole.
