Just Peace Month in The Hague

The Just Peace month in The Hague takes place from 19 September to 27 October and connects residents of The Hague and surroundings with the issues and institutions that are contributing to peace and justice worldwide. IHE Delft will participate in a workshop organized on 12 October about water & conflict in Mali’s Inner Niger Delta.

The Water, Peace and Security partnership which IHE Delft is coordinating organizes a workshop about WATER & CONFLICT IN MALI’S INNER NIGER DELTA on 12 October at 15:00. The Institute and its partners will approach the water, peace and security matters regarding the Inner Niger Delta (IND), a key wetland area for Mali’s agriculture populated by around 2 million people living from cattle herding, farming and fishing that is witnessing since 2015 strong inter-communal violence underpinned by the multiplication of jihadist and self-defence armed groups.

Join us on the 12th of October for a discussion about our approach as this engagement continues to develop and change.
