Online Seminar: A global perspective focusing on Vietnam
The Institute of International Training and Cooperation (IITC), Hanoi University of Architecture invites you to attend the Online Seminar with the topic: "Advanced integration of AI and Machine Learning in urban water resources management and flood mitigation: A global perspective focusing on Vietnam" (Advanced Integration of AI and Machine Learning in Urban Water Resource Management and Flood Mitigation: A Global Perspective with Focus on Vietnam).
The seminar will have presentations by IHE Delft Associate Professor of Hydroinformatics, Gerald Corzo Perez and will see the participation and coordination of Dr. Architect Nguyen Thai Huyen - Deputy Director, Institute of Training and International Cooperation and PhD. Le Thi Minh Phuong - Head of Science and Technology Department, Hanoi University of Architecture.
About the speaker
Dr. Gerald Augusto Corzo Pérez, a distinguished Associate Professor at the IHE Delft Institute of Water Education in the Netherlands, is one of the world's leading experts in the field of developing innovative technologies to solve water problems. Complex issues related to extreme phenomena on water resources.
His research includes areas of Hydrological Information such as spatiotemporal statistics, pattern recognition and machine learning techniques to solve water resources problems. During the past four years, he has devoted his time to studying and analyzing global hydrological extremes, as well as exploring responses to droughts and floods. In 2012, he was honored with the Tison Award for best paper from the IAHS Society.
Dr. Gerald Augusto Corzo Pérez is a leader in coordinating climate change data and adaptation and mitigation measures for Latin America, a project that was presented at WWF in 2012. , With a degree in civil engineering and a strong background in computational science and telecommunications, he has developed many new methods, including integrating computational intelligence algorithms and hydrological conceptual models for hydrology. hydrological forecast.
During his PhD, he also contributed to projects such as the Flood Early Warning System integrating Machine Learning models (Delft-FEWS). He has participated in many projects in different countries such as China, Colombia, Mexico, England, Norway and many more. He was also the founder and leader of the LatinAqua network for water researchers in Latin America from 2011 to 2012.
Professor has more than 184 International Scientific Research Publications on Research Gate. The number of international research publications of Professor Gerald Augusto Corzo Pérez shows his commitment and significant contributions in the field of scientific research. This is also a testament to his influence on the research community and the importance of the work he has done.
