The library is open to all IHE Delft students and staff, and to visitors by appointment. WorldCat Discovery provides single-search access to all holdings from the IHE Delft library collection
Borrowing & renewing loans
A maximum of ten items may be borrowed from the library at any one time. The maximum loan period is 21 days, renewable up to a maximum of 42 days. Reference works, MSc theses, bound and non-bound periodicals and materials bearing a green sticker may not be borrowed. By using their library card to borrow items from the library, borrowers agree to be responsible for those items, including the cost of replacing lost or damaged items. Renewals can be made online by using the sign in function within WorldCat Discovery or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The complete library collection, including EBooks, printed books, EJournal articles, Master theses and PhD dissertations, is accessible through WorldCat Discovery. Both IHE Delft students and staff have access to the Library catalogue. Upon registration IHE Delft students receive a registration card which can also be used to borrow items from the library collection.
The repository is designed for smart phones, tablets and workstations and allows the library to easily build and showcase digital collections easily. Among various useful APIs, the repository uses Optical Character Recognition, which allows text characters in an image file to be searched, therefore enhancing the discovery experience. The repository is also integrated in WorldCat Discovery.
