Water and Development Partnership Programme: 15 proposals shortlisted for external review
IHE Delft’s Water and Development Partnership Programme has shortlisted 15 project proposals for an external review process, following a call for large-scale proposals that bring together inter- and trans-disciplinary teams for work to find sustainable solutions to water challenges, redress injustices and enrich the knowledge on water.
The programme provided feedback to the over 100 project ideas submitted in response to the call. In a second step, it reviewed 38 ideas that had been developed into full proposals.
Thematic and leadership overview of shortlisted proposals
- Water and Health: 2 (funding available for 1 project)
- Water for Food: 7 (funding available for 3 projects)
- River Basins and Deltas: 6 (funding available for 3 projects)
- Leadership: 7 led by women, 7 led by partners.
The programme committee will aim to select seven proposals for funding, with final results expected to be announced at the end of March 2023.
More about the partnership programme
The programme envisions a world where inclusive and diverse partnerships and marginalized knowledges transform the ways we know, use, share and care for water. To achieve this, the third phase of the programme (2022-2027) funds bold, creative and transdisciplinary projects that combine research, education and capacity strengthening activities aimed at creating a peaceful, just and sustainable world. The Water and Development Partnership Programme is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
