    Monitoring Water Productivity using WaPOR – Part 1

    This webinar is part two of a six-part masterclass series from the Water Productivity Improvement in Practice (WaterPIP) project. In this series, we will provide attendees with a step-by-step approach to monitor and interpret irrigation performance indicators using open-source tools and provide context through applied case studies. Monitoring at different spatial scales will be discussed (including at crop level, by irrigation scheme, and in river basins) as well as monitoring techniques for biophysical and socioeconomic parameters of water productivity.

    Ms. Reem Digna awarded with a Doctoral degree

    On 26 May 2020, Ms. Reem Digna successfully defended her PhD thesis and was awarded with a Doctoral degree. Professor Pieter van der Zaag and Professor Stefan Uhlenbrook were her promotors and Dr. Yasir Mohamed her co-promotor. This defence was held online due to the covid-19 pandemic.

    Mr. Iosif Scoullos awarded with a Doctoral degree

    On 13 May 2020, Mr. Iosif Marios Scoullos successfully defended his PhD thesis and was awarded with a Doctoral degree. Professor Damir Brdjanovic was his promotor and Dr. Carlos Lopez Vazquez and Dr. Jack van de Vossenberg his co-promotors. This defence was held online due to the covid-19 pandemic.
